A lot of news came out yesterday for Warframe. Whether it was more details about Dante Unbound being talked about in their recent Devshorts episode. Or the release date for Dante Unbound itself. One interesting thing that was announced was that there will be a teaser for Warframe: 1999 shown during Devstream 178 live during PAX East. The stream will take place on March 22nd and will also feature Ben Starr, the voice of Arthur in Warframe: 1999. But what could they be showing about this expansion slated for this year?
What Could be Shown for Warframe: 1999?
Well, outside of the small playable teaser in Whispers in the Walls, there have been so few details to go on for Warframe: 1999. We know that this takes place at the end of that year before a potential apocalypse happens on New Years. Foreshadowing the old Y2K conspiracy. But outside of Albrecht Entrati being a key player in the story. As well as Arthur and his companion Aoi. There is not much more to go on. But here is the official announcement:
Don't miss a very special Devstream 178 LIVE from the main stage at #PAXEast.

But what could be shown in this new teaser? It could be a small trailer with some gameplay snippets or maybe some cutscenes. Given that Ben Starr is there, I would guess it will be a mix of both. Considering he may be talking about his experience playing the character. We could see more of the city, the infested CRTs, or even more of Aoi with one of those “see more at TennoCon 2024 in the summer”. This is purely speculation, but considering this is a teaser for a major expansion and being streamed live at a major convention. One could infer the significance of what might be shown.
But we will have to wait until next Friday to see what all is shown. If you will like to learn more details about the stream, you can find their official forum post here.
