Friday was packed with many showcases. From Summer Games Fest, hosted by Geoff Keighley, to the Devolver Direct. There were a lot of fantastic announcements that excited everyone. But one showcase in particular focused on spotlighting many in the indie scene. That being Day of the Devs, hosted by Double Fine Productions and Iam8bit. This showcase went on for an hour and showed off some very cool indie titles big and small. Here is a selection of 10 titles you should keep your eyes on from it!

10 Indie Game Picks from Day of the Devs

Starting off the list is:

1. Petal Runner

Petal Runner is a whole slice of life type of game where you perform various tasks and play mini games in a coming-of-age story. The presentation reminds me a lot of how games looking on the Game Boy Advance but even better.

2. Karma: The Dark World

Karma: The Dark World is an upcoming psychological horror game set in 1984 and looks to be quite the cinematic thrill ride.

3. UFO 50

UFO 50 is a very unique looking game. Where there is a selection of 50 unique mini sized games within one package. Each game will have its own unique gameplay style and presentation. As well as subtle crossovers from other games within it.

4. Cozy Grove: Camp Spirit

Cozy Grove: Camp Spirit looks to be a very unique cozy kind of game. Where you go around helping spirits on a mysterious island, it is also going to be exclusive to Netflix Games.

5. Screenbound

Screenbound, off its gameplay concept alone is very much worth keeping your eye on. The idea of having to use a simultaneous first-person perspective with a Game Boy-like device to navigate a 3D space beyond that screen looks so fascinating.

6. Zoochosis

Zoochosis is going to be a first-person horror game with very creepy design for animals that get genetically morphed. The trailer stood out to me personally, and I cannot wait to see how crazy it can get.

7. Building Relationships

Another standout in the showcase was Building Relationship. A game where you are a building, and explore, and even have the option to date other buildings. The concept is admittedly very comedic. But one that definitely has a unique foundation to draw people in.

8. A Little to the Left: Seeing Stars

A Little to the Left: Seeing Stars is an upcoming DLC for the cozy puzzle title. Featuring nearly 40 levels and 100 stars to discover. It sounds like a lot to unpack!

9. Afterlove EP

Afterlove EP is an upcoming side scrolling narrative game from the creator of Coffee Talk. It is a title set on tackling the grief process for the character Jakarta after losing his girlfriend, Cinta. It will be a strong premise that you should definitely keep your eye on!

10. Tides of Tomorrow

Tides of Tomorrow ended the show on a high note. It is the next game from the studio behind Road 96 and will allow you to experience the game with the help of others from your friends list. As you can see the decisions they make, and either do things they did, or follow up on plans they were not able to. The trailer is a small taste, but it does get the point across.
