Digital Extremes has been mostly quiet on the recent news front following their information blowout at TennoCon 2025. After their recent announcement of the next Devstream for Warframe, the team working on Soulframe held their recent Devstream today. This Devstream was focused on a little bit of everything Soulframe related. Whether that was confirming that the Bromius Fable quest is still releasing this month, to new weapons, customization, and more content on the way, they had it all, and here is everything you need to know from it!

Devstream 9 Breakdown
Digital Extremes has confirmed that again, the Bromius Fable named “The Waste Bear” will be released this month. There is no specific date for it, but it will come with a brand new cinematic quest, a new dungeon to explore, and new enemies to take on, such as corrupted Avakots. There will be new weapons, as well as starting armors for new envoys when they choose their faction and pact. Not only that, upon completion of the Bromius Fable, you will be able to craft his unique pact, which they showed gameplay of in the stream, and cleaver weapon gameplay, which is new to Soulframe.
There will also be a few new features coming to the game, such as actual armor color customization through the Verminia ancestor. They also showcased a transmog system through Tuvalkane, the Blacksmith ancestor screen. You can also regain health lost to an enemy attack by attacking them back, similar to Bloodborne.
One point of contention for players in the Preludes program will be the shift to making the game “harder”. This change will be coming as they prepare the Motes modular system for weapons in a future update. This will no doubt be frustrating, as the Pact ultimates were removed in an earlier Preludes patch as well. Below will be an image with information on everything coming in the patch for easier readability.

What Comes Next for Soulframe?
During the stream, they showcased a lot of new armor sets, including the Ode one belonging to the envoy in the TennoCon 2025 gameplay. There will be more cleavers, bows, and a new greatsword weapon class, which Steve Sinclair said will most likely be the next new weapon class to get added into Soulframe. They will also be adding in new areas on Midrath Island, including more points of interest and even more encounters against enemies. Finally, they said they will be looking into going back to older Pacts to ensure they do not fall to power creep.
Below will be the Devstream to watch for any minute details and stream shenanigans.
