A new mushroom warframe, a cinematic quest for the mod system, and the long-requested Oberon rework are now available in Warframe. This free update acts as the fall seasonal update in the game and will feature a lot of new content to enjoy. From a new game mode, changes to arcanes, a new vendor, and a new deluxe skin, here is everything you need to know about The Vallis Undermind!
What you need to Know About The Vallis Undermind in Warframe
The Vallis Undermind will bring in a new vendor, called Nightcap. Nightcap will be the vendor for all things in this update. You can find him in Fortuna, and he will offer you the newest warframe in the game, Nokko, and his signature weapon, Arbucep. Nokko’s abilities were showcased on Devstream 189, which can be found here. Both Nokko and Arbucep are earnable through bounties that you can take on from Nightcap in Fortuna.
This update also features the long-awaited Oberon rework. Below will be the full rework showcase from Game Director Pablo Alonso. For the first week of the update, you can get a free Oberon for logging in. Damage attenuation for endgame bosses is also being changed. You can find a similar video talking about that here.
Also featured in this update will be a new cinematic quest for new players called “The Teacher”. The Teacher will feature Teshin, the Dax warrior who plays a major role in many story events in Warframe. This quest will be aimed at teaching players the modding system, which is the most intricate part of the game in its 12-year life span. Upon completing the quest, players will receive a new rifle called the “Thornbak”. This quest is long overdue, but was finally brought to life by their development partners at Sumo Digital (who also made Caliber Chicks 2 in Warframe: 1999).
All New Cosmetics
Finally, there is a whole suite of cosmetics being added to the game. From new community-made Tennogen items to a new and cool-looking Wukong Qitian deluxe skin.
But that is not all, as Lavos’ Khymia Deluxe skin is also being added to Warframe in The Vallis Undermind. It is as stylish and faithful to the original design as Lavos himself.
The Vallis Undermind is available as a free update for Warframe on all platforms. This includes PlayStation 4|5, Nintendo Switch, PC, and Xbox Series X|S, and iOS mobile devices.
