Marvel Rivals Season 10.5 launches today, with a new Avengers: Infinity War mode! Marvel Games and NetEase Games also announced a 50-player Avengers: Endgame PvE mode for October 22, alongside Halloween events later this month.
What Is Marvel Rivals Season 10.5?
The update continues the Path to Doomsday event in Marvel Rivals, the team-based superhero shooter. Its opening mode puts 12 players into six teams of two, drawing from 13 heroes who appeared in Avengers: Infinity War.
Each round sends your duo into a 2v2 deathmatch in Wakanda. Between rounds, you’ll choose random cards that upgrade abilities and stats. Those choices shape your build as the match progresses.
Every team also starts with a randomly assigned Infinity Stone that grants a powerful ability. Eliminating another team lets you claim its Stone, giving surviving duos more tools for the final fights.
Endgame Arrives October 22
Marvel Rivals Season 10.5 adds its second Avengers mode on October 22. Path to Doomsday – Avengers: Endgame brings 50 players together in the ruined Avengers Compound to fight Thanos and his army.
I previously covered the Winter Soldier costume and Hellfire Gala update. I generally don’t like multiplayer PvP, but I do like PvE. Although I haven’t played Marvel Rivals yet, the MCU connection makes this mode more attractive to me. The more of these modes that come out, the more I’d be willing to play.
The update also expands the 18v18 Annihilation mode with the Alchemax Headquarters map.
Halloween Events Begin October 15
The Marvel Rivals Season 10.5 schedule includes All Hallows’ Glow on October 15, with costume and cosmetic rewards. Night of Illusions follows on October 29 with an interactive puzzle experience. New Halloween-themed costumes and cosmetics are also part of the season.
