Sony emphasizes the role of streaming in the next generation PlayStation

In a recent briefing, Sony continues to double down on the importance of streaming playing a key role for its next-generation plans. Part of Sony’s strategy involves expanding PS Now to reach five million subscribers, bringing their service to other devices (with or without a console), and providing gamer choice in regards to access. This will be accomplished by disc, download, or streaming.  Another point of streaming emphasis by Sony is a seamless experience “anytime, anywhere, without disconnections”.

To achieve these goals, Sony mentioned their recent partnership with Microsoft in regards to AI solutions and Azure Cloud.
