Call of Duty: Warzone should be coming to PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X
It seems that players who will want to play Call of Duty: Warzone on their PlayStation 5 or Xbox Series X will be ok. Gamingintel.com found an interview with Taylor Kurosaki, the studio narrative director at Infinity Ward and Amos Hodge, the creative director at Raven Software on the French gaming site Gamergen.com. In this interview, the guys behind Call of Duty: Warzone all but officially confirmed that the game will be available on the new consoles.
Keep in mind this is not an official announcement that Call of Duty: Warzone will be coming to the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X. Taylor Kurosaki had this to say about the free to play game coming to the new consoles.
“I know that our plan is Warzone is going to be around for quite some time, so as soon as those new systems are out and available I’m sure we’ll support them.”
In this interview, they discuss a few other topics besides the future consoles. Players who have been clamoring for Duos to return to Warzone will get their wish. The game is still fairly new and we did get the chance to play Duos in Plunder. Since the developers felt they had some issues they removed it from the game. At some point in the future, it should come back. One interesting thing discussed was the fact that neither studio has any intention to port Call of Duty: Warzone to Stadia. It seems that the Google service will not be getting their hands on this game any time soon.
If you’re a fan of Call of Duty, I would implore that you take the time to click the link provided above to read the full interview. We may see an official announcement in a few days when third party Xbox Series X games are shown off during a May 7th event.
