Jon Favreau is known for many things. He is the director behind Elf, Iron Man, and The Lion King. He has starred in Swingers, Couples Retreat and Friends. Most importantly, he is the creator of Baby Yoda in The Mandalorian.
After stealing our hearts with Baby Yoda, the same adorable design elements are jumping platforms. Gnomes and Goblins will be Favreau’s first foray into video games. One look at the key art and you can see that Baby Yoda has had a profound effect on the overall creature design and style.
The game is a VR production about building relationships in a gnome and goblin society in order to save them from their foe. Jon Favreau had this to say about the game:
The appeal is to have somebody who is not a gamer and never had a VR experience, be able to enjoy this without feeling that they need to have a certain skillset, but we also don’t want it to be passive cinematic experience where people just sit and enjoy it like a ride. It needs to be something where you engage in the way that you would in life. It should feel like you’re developing a relationship with these characters
