Demon’s Souls is making a comeback to the PlayStation 5. The game that launched From Software from niche developer to superstardom is getting a remake for next-generation consoles.
Demon’s Souls places the unnamed protagonist into the fallen world of Boletaria. There the player must accumulate the souls of demons in the hopes of becoming powerful enough to challenge the Great Old One. It was lauded for its incredible atmosphere, tactical combat, and innovative multiplayer when it launched as a PS3 exclusive in 2009.
From Software’s next new IP, Elden Ring, hasn’t been seen since last year. There was hope that it would be shown here, but a Demon’s Souls remake is quite the consolation prize. Keep following all of our coverage in the summer of virtual E3 here at Lords of Gaming.
