When it comes to melee weapons in Warframe, the variety can always really fall under the category of “style over substance”. Despite some really cool ideas, like Dorrclave, Vinquibus, and even the Spinnerex, most melee weapons in the game are only really pursued for their stats, designs, and which weapon type they are. There is nothing inherently wrong with that, as the newly released Sarofang Prime falls under that category, but it still feels hilariously strong to use. But before we dive into why that is, below will be our recommended build for it!
Recommended Build for Sarofang Prime in Warframe

To just get it out there, yes, this build isn’t wholly original. It is just a straight-up critical and slash build. But using the Gladiator set mods helps to increase the passive critical chance. Alongside Dreamer’s Wrath and Melee Animosity for a really good heavy strike combo. Killing Blow is a must for this build, to make the heavy strike as strong as it can be.
Sarofang Prime Build
When it originally came out in 2022, Sarofang was just an ok weapon. But now with modern mods, arcanes and Tennokai, its Prime variant shines brightly. It hits like a truck and is an excellent signature weapon for Voruna Prime. Definitely go out and farm for it, and the Perigale Prime. They are all excellent additions to your arsenal in Warframe.
