Game Stop Loses Reggie Fils-Aimé from Board of Directors
Reggie Fils-Aimé, the former president of Nintendo of America is expected to retire from the Board of Directors of GameStop at the 2021 Annual Meeting. The announcement comes from an SEC filing made for the fiscal year that ended on January 30th.
Reggie Fils-Aimé rose to fame as the head of Nintendo of America where he served for fifteen years. He departed Nintendo of America in 2019 and accepted a position on GameStop’s Board of Directors. GameStop has been on quite the roller coaster over the last month. Its stock rose from $15 to almost $350 virtually overnight on the strength of Reddit investors. The departure of Reggie and others will add even more volatility to an already volatile company. Reggie’s next move is currently unknown.
