Gamescom ONL: Halo Infinite Has A Release Date
As part of the summer 2021 all-digital gaming conventions, today was the opening day for Gamescom. The 2021 Gamescom event will take place from August 25 through the 28th. Kicking off with today’s Opening Night Live, hosted by Geoff Keighley of The Game Awards. The two-hour Opening Night Live event promises fresh looks at nearly 40 upcoming games. As well as brand new game announcements. Including the release date to the highly anticipated Halo Infinite which will launch on December 8th, 2021.
Among the most ambitious announcements from Gamescom comes the latest update to Halo Infinite. In addition to the long-awaited release date, came a brand new look at the story-driven multiplayer. Microsoft followed up with even more Halo news dropping pre-orders for the 20th Anniversary-themed Elite Series 2 controller. As well as a Halo 20th Anniversary Xbox Series X console.
This arrives on the heels of last week’s bad news for fans of Halo Infinite. On August 20th, Xbox and 343 Studios announced that Halo will be launching without a multiplayer co-op campaign. As well as fan-favorite Forge mode. Where players can create custom gameplay types and maps for multiplayer. The news of Halo Infinite coming this year will be enough to wash the bad taste out.
