Digital Extremes has been developing and expanding the world of Warframe since the game’s launch in 2013. Even now the studio continues to deliver meaningful content drops and updates on an almost monthly basis with no signs of slowing down. Now the studio has partnered with Airship Syndicate to work on a new action RPG called Wayfinder, which has a heavy focus on cooperation with friends and questing to earn unique loot and gear.
During today’s State Of Play, a new gameplay trailer was dropped for Wayfinder. It showcased the game’s central hub where players will interact to participate in quests, gain rewards for completing tasks as well obtaining useful gear. Alongside showcasing the central hub, we also got a look at 3 unique characters that spread across your standard DPS and Tank-styled classes. Wayfinder will have a closed beta on PlayStation 5 and PC starting on February 28th. You can sign up for the beta here. Wayfinder is set to release into early access in May 2023, with a full release scheduled for sometime in late 2023. With its almost World Of Warcraft lite appeal, this could be a massive title for Digital Extremes and Airship Syndicate. It will be interesting to see more of the game in the coming months in the lead-up to the early access release.
