Gylt was originally released in November 2019 for Google Stadia. It was one of the platform’s very few exclusive titles at the time. But despite all of Stadia’s faults at the time, Gylt was a really interesting get for their platform. Following the closure of Google Stadia earlier this year, it felt like one of Tequila Works‘ unique titles would be lost. However, that was not the case. As Tequila Works announced yesterday that Gylt will be coming to new platforms on July 6th. Here is what you need to know!
Details on Gylt and its Upcoming Re-launch
Gylt is a linear stealth action horror game centered around Sally. A little girl who is searching for her friend that stumbles upon a creepy town infested with shadowy creatures. Throughout the game, you will solve puzzles, kill creatures with your trusty flashlight and sneak around in creatively designed environments. As someone who previously played it on Google Stadia, I can attest that there is quality to the title. It captures the right ambiance in every place you explore.
Whether it’s the twisted roads between houses or the creepy school you find yourself in early on. The game does a fantastic job of capturing the essence of danger in its encounters with enemies. The game played very smoothly as well and the story touched on some sensitive subject matters despite the game’s art style. The controls felt tight even on Stadia’s cloud technology.
You should keep your eye on Gylt when it launches on Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Steam, and PlayStation 4|5 on July 6th.
