Indiana Jones Will Skip Some Platforms
During the course of the hearing Pete Hines, who is the head of publishing at Bethesda revealed some interesting facts about the upcoming Indiana Jones game. When questioned by an FTC lawyer, Hines revealed that Disney originally had a deal in place for Indiana Jones to be on multiple consoles. However, the FTC lawyers revealed that this deal had since been amended post-acquisition by Xbox to make it exclusive to Xbox and PC platforms. From what I’ve heard, the latest Indiana Jones movie has not received much critical acclaim. It’s sad, since the trailers look great and this would’ve put Xbox in a good position to capitalize. As it is, Machine Games have even more pressure to deliver and put the IP on their backs. This has a chance to become the definitive Indy experience, at least until the series is rebooted.
