Tips and Tricks for Dungeons of Hinterberg

Dungeons of Hinterberg, the most recent title from independent developer Microbird games, may not be a massive game, but there are plenty of secrets to uncover. Here are a few tips I wanted to share after my review playthrough.

Become Besties: Hannah may be the most consequential friend you make in Hinterberg. Hannah could possibly be the most beneficial character to max out companionship within Dungeons of Hinterberg. She runs an armory out of her house and will imbue both your armor and weapons with items that will increase your power. Hannah upgrades armor to stronger levels and adds enchantments to weapons.

Befriend the dog! Not only can you choose the name of your goodest boi, he will uncover secret dungeons for you and will also dig up buried treasure when you run into him out in the wilds.

You can slide down ladders. Admittedly, it took me way too long to figure out that I could slide down ladders, and there are a ton of ladders. Hold down the climb button to slide.

Explore side paths: There are side paths in both the open world sections of the game and within dungeons themselves that will contain chests. Chests can give players the in-game currency, weapons and armor, or collectibles. Some of the dungeons are fast paced or can be easy to get turned around in so be sure to explore as much as possible if you are going for all achievements.
