There have been many rumors tied to a Red Dead Redemption remaster or remake. This week’s news comes from a trusted source at Last Stand Media. Around the 3-hour and 35-minute mark of this week’s Sacred Symbols podcast (episode 261), host Colin Moriarty says that he has been shown evidence that a Red Dead Redemption remaster exists.
Additionally, over on Gematsu, they discovered that there was a new rating classification from the Game Rating and Administration Committee of Korea. Clearly, this is a sign that the game’s release is imminent. After all, the completed product has been submitted to regulatory agencies for approval. Both of these events follow Red Dead Redemption being removed from the PlayStation Plus streaming library.
At this time it is not clear if this is a high-quality remaster, remake, or something much worse. Undoubtedly fans would not want something like the poorly received Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy – The Definitive Edition from 2021. A re-release completed by third-party contractors and AI. We sure do hope that any Red Dead Redemption re-release would be handled with care. Hopefully, we will hear more soon as news is expected this year.
