Teamfight Tactics Patch 14.4 Smallest Patch in Game’s History

Patch 14.4, the penultimate patch of set 10 of Teamfight Tactics, is now live. Although patch 14.5 will follow, the championship will be played on 14.4. Thus, Patch 14.4 is the last serious patch of the set. According to Mortdog’s patch rundown, this is the smallest patch in Teamfight Tactics history. The previous patch, patch 14.3, looks massive by comparison. Therefore, there is not much to cover for this patch. There are two item changes that highlight this patch. A rework of the Radiant Adaptive Helm is perhaps the biggest change. In addition, there is a slight change to the Dragon’s Claw. These are the biggest changes of patch 14.4.

Radiant Adaptive Helm

One item change on patch 14.4 is a rework to the Radiant Adaptive Helm. The item no longer grants both positional effects. Instead, each of the positional bonuses are stronger. Thus, players must now position champions according to which bonus they want to receive. The stronger individual bonuses could feel better than having both of the previous bonuses. The Fully Adapted augment will still grant both bonuses, however.

Dragon’s Claw

The other item change on patch 14.4 is to the Dragon’s Claw item. The magic resist (MR) granted by the Dragon’s Claw is now higher. As a result, Dragon’s Claw grants less hit points (HP). According to Mortdog, Dragon’s Claw should be the premier MR item. Previously, Dragon’s Claw gave less MR than Adaptive Helm. Patch 14.4 fixes this, with what should be a small buff to Dragon’s Claw.

Patch Summary

As noted, this is the smallest patch in Teamfight Tactics history. The item changes are thus the most significant changes on the patch. They are not the only changes, however. This patch also buffs several traits and champions. The full patch notes can be found here, and are summarized below:
