With the July 20th being focused on all things TennoCon. From the normal panels and Tennolive. Tickets will go on sale March 28th at 11am ET.

Finally they talked about the 11th anniversary event starting next month. This event will feature all of the previous year awards. As well as a new Dex Nikana that looks very impressive.

They then followed it up with some minor updates about the mobile version of Warframe.

Hotfixes for Warframe Mobile and new Tennogen

The iOS version of Warframe is going to start receiving more hotfixes. They mentioned specific fixes for fourth abilities not working sometimes and connectivity issues will be prioritized. Ontop of other various fixes so people can continue enjoying the game on their phone.

New Tennogen items are going to be added in the next major update, Dante Unbound. Mainly a collection of the following:

  • A Sevagoth Deluxe bundle with a matching Syandana.
  • A Sword Skin.
  • An all-new Gyre skin that is Grineer Queen themed.
  • An alternate helmet for Yareli.
  • As well as a Mantis bug-like ship.

Designs can be found below:

But the real focus of Devstream 177 was Dante Unbound, which they went into thorough detail for.

Dante Unbound for Warframe Details

They opened the showcase for Dante Unbound by talking about the ambient sound you can expect in all of the new tiles coming in the update. There will dark whispering and even some unique sound effects for Dante himself. Dante’s story will have its own unique Leverian and his lore will be tied to the creation of the Leverian. Parvos Granum will also be involved with the story of this update. They showed off Dante, the 56th warframe in game as well. He will have a unique armor set, floaty movement animations like wisp and an alternate helmet. As well as unique idle animations for every type of weapon.

Dante’s stats will be health and energy focused, and he will feature a universal aura slot so you can use whatever aura mod you would like. Noctua, Dante’s exalted Tome weapon will be mod-able like other exalted weapons. It will be a critical and slash focused weapon with the ability to use as many Tome mods you would like to use in your build.

His abilities are interesting, casting multiple of the same second or third abilities followed by a fourth ability use will trigger some interesting effects. You can either grant yourself and allies a lot of overguard, summon a flock of Duviri owls to attack foes, have a floating Tome to auto-fire at enemies or trigger a massive damage burst on enemies. This will require experimentation, but the results look extremely interesting. Dante’s passive will allow automatic scans for enemies, and he will have an increase to status effect against fully scanned foes.

New Game Mode: Armatus

Armatus will be a disruption game mode with a twist. For starters, it seems like all of the mini bosses that destroy the conduits will be Necramechs. A bonewidow was shown in the demonstration. But the key change will be the Gruzzler foe that can steal rare materials and conduit keys. This will be a Loot Goblin of sorts that can split into three to confuse players. Killing the other two while it is running away can grant either health or energy orbs. They mentioned you can figure out which one is which through sound cues.

Dante will be primarily earned through this game mode. But there will be a pity system similar to how players earned Citrine or Voruna. You will earn a new special resource you can spend at a special store Loid has. This store will also hold the new incarnon weapons, Onos and Ruvox. Onos will be a wrist cannon that turns into an arm cannon when transformed. While Ruvox will be a pair of fist weapons with a unique function when they transform. If you heavy slam while using Ruvox, enemies will get impaled around you, similar to the impalement the void angels use in the Zariman.

Onos

But while this seems like the standard fair. There will also be another new game mode that may scratch an itch many players of Warframe have wanted for a while.

Deep Archimedea

Deep Archimedea will be a new squad focused game mode that will consume two of the weekly Netracells runs from Tagfer if you take it on. This game mode will be a single run of three missions in a row. You cannot swap weapons or warframes in-between these missions, so when you go in, go in prepared.

You will need to be rank five with the Cavia to have access to this. It will be on a weekly reset, and you can only earn the rewards from it once. But there is a lot to unpack from how they described it. For starters, the number of rewards will earn are based on a point system. To raise the number of points you will have to use specific warframes and weapons. As well as selecting optional modifiers. This will be a very challenging activity that is aimed at hardcore players.

There was no gameplay specific to this game mode. But Creative Director Rebecca Ford mentioned there will be something unique that happens during this game mode. It may be narrative heavy.

They also mentioned the side rewards will be RNG heavy. But both this activity and Netracells are having the RNG tweaked to make the rewards more lucrative.

Inaros Rework in Warframe

Inaros will be getting a very healthy rework in Dante Unbound. Pablo went into very understandable detail for the rework and he will function like so:

  1.  When you are reviving yourself you are no longer a coffin. You will be a sand clone that will kill to revive. The amount needed to revive increases with each time you go down in a mission.
  2.  First ability will be more potent and consistent with blinding foes and allowing finishers.
  3. The Sandstorm will now be duration based and you will drag enemies in when near them. They will be stunned for a time after the sandstorm and you can perform finishers on them. You will also get healed for all the enemies you hit while in the sandstorm.
  4. The third ability will now give just armor and the armor will decay to sustain status effects.
  5. The fourth ability will now create sand cats if enemies die to the scarab swarms.

There will be ten new augments coming with Dante Unbound for the following warframes:

  1. Styanax.
  2. Nidus.
  3. Loki.
  4. Nezha.
  5. Baruuk.
  6. Chroma.
  7. Citrine.
  8. Lavos.
  9. Yareli.
  10. Kullervo.

Yareli’s augment will allow Merulina to be a companion and attack with Yareli. While the Loki Decoy will now take over any enemy and have their health and damage scale in accordance with the mission you are in.

Archon Shard Changes and Styanax Deluxe

Archon Shards from Kahls shop will now be moved to the Sanctum Anatomica. How to obtain them this way is unknown. Archon Shard Ascent fusion, which will allow you to create Tauforged shards by fusing three together will be coming with Dante Unbound. Styanax Tonatiuh will be coming with Dante Unbound. This will include a new polearm skin that will also change his signature spear in certain abilities. The syandana will expand out to become wings if you remain stationary, which is pretty cool.

Styanax Tonatiuh

Finally, they detailed that Mirage’s Eclipse ability will now be a toggle ability. If you tap it, it will give you a set amount of reduced damage taken. While holding it will give you a set amount of damage increase. This ability no longer is reliant on the light due to technical issues. Melee slams will now be consistent with the area of effect damage and scale based off melee damage. New Parazon finishers are coming with Dante unbound, as well as a quick access menu for your Orbiter. This will allow you to transport to the void relic menu, or codex.

Creative Director Rebecca Ford also leaked that Protea Prime is the next prime warframe coming, but not release window is known yet. But this was all that was shown during Devstream 177 for Warframe. If you would like to watch the full Devstream for any minute details, you can do so here.
