Launching to critical acclaim, Morning Star’s newest project Pennys Big Breakaway will be receiving a patch on all platforms. And not only is it addressing various bugs and glitches players have come across but adds a requested feature for the Switch version.

Today, we released a patch that fixes several issues. It also includes updates and improvements to existing functions. Please make sure to update your game to the latest version.

In lieu of the changes below, we will be resetting the leaderboards for 4-2. This patch introduces a fix to a bug that existed on this level which allowed players to skip a large portion of the level.

We will continue to monitor the game for future fixes and patches, but in the meantime, thanks for playing Pennys Big Breakaway!

Included in the update post, Morning Star cites that improvements to player controls, collision issues, and more are live. The PC version of Pennys Big Breakaway has the update as of this writing, but console owners have this patch pending according to Christian Whitehead via X/Twitter.

The biggest feature of this update has to be the uncapped frame-rate option for the Nintendo Switch version, which was the game’s major drawback when compared to the other platform releases.
