How to Get into the Wayfinder Echoes Beta

During the Gameplay Reveal Stream for the Echoes update for Wayfinder they announced that players can opt into a short beta. This beta will go on through the weekend and end on May 28th. Three days before the official release of the Echoes update for Founders of the game. But how do you opt into it, and what should you know before jumping in?

How to opt into the 2.0 Wayfinder Beta

For starters, this will be limited to just the owners of any Founders pack. Meaning that if you do not own a Founders pack of Wayfinder, you cannot opt in. Now, to get started, go to the game’s page in your library and click on the gear symbol:

Afterward, click on properties, and go to the Betas page like so and type in “returnofthereaverking”.

You will then have to redownload the game as you are downloading the new version of Wayfinder coming with the Echoes Update. On my NVME SSD, I only had to download 38 gigabytes, so it should not take long to jump. Before getting to the main menu, there will be shader compilation:

This only took a minute and a half, and you should be able to jump into the beta. Please keep in mind that any progress made in the update will not carry over to the official relaunch on May 31st. This is just to test and find bugs and other issues Airship Syndicate can fix. While playing in the beta, you should be able to also play co-op and offline. This beta for Wayfinder will last until the 28th, so get in and have fun!
