Independent Swedish game studio CRG has announced that its Hack ‘n’ Slash Action RPG game, Crystalfall, will launch its Open Beta on December 13. In addition, the studio revealed the highly anticipated mage class called the “Technomancer”. This new class will be available in the full release in 2025.
Crystalfall Open Beta and Technomancer Annoucement
The Crystalfall Open Beta introduces two new world zones, the Fallen Metropolis and Northern Lands, bringing the total to five steampunk-themed areas in the post-apocalyptic game world. Crystalfall is available to wishlist on Steam and Epic Games.
CRG CEO Åke André expressed excitement about offering extensive playtest content, allowing player feedback to shape the game. Responding to community requests, the Technomancer, a female crow hybrid with a steampunk staff powered by crystals, was developed.
The Open Beta also features new dungeons, mobs, bosses, character customization options, weapons, quests, and an updated user interface. Players assume the role of an escaped convict in a world shattered by a mysterious asteroid, exploring randomized dungeons and battling bosses to survive.
Supporter Packs will be Available

Crystalfall will be free-to-play in Open Beta, with supporter packs available on Razer Gold and Epic Store. Creative Director Daniil Sanders highlighted the popularity of mage classes and the community’s influence in creating the Technomancer, embodying the game’s crystal technology and magic.
