Warframe: EFV-8 Mars Build and Review

In Techrot Encore, there was a suite of new Scaldra weapons added to the ever-growing arsenal of Warframe. From a slug launcher, dual sickles and even a new auto rifle, there was a good amount of cool new military-esc weapons added. But last and not least, was a simple, and strong sidearm named the EFV-8 Mars. While it has its gimmick and can usually kill normal foes in one shot, it does feel good to use, even if it feels situational. But before we get into why that is, here is our sites recommended build to try!

EFV-8 Mars Recommended Build

Below is our recommended build that you will need at least 2 forma for:

For the EFV-8 Mars, you will want to focus on just pure damage output towards weak spots. Secondary Deadhead and Pistol Acuity is a must for this build. You can swap out Accelerated Isotope and Sharpened Bullets for higher damage mods if you so choose. But leave in Hornet Strike, the Cannonade mod, and the Primed mods for better damage output.

EFV-8 Mars in Warframe Review

The EFV-8 Mars is a hard-hitting pistol, and its magazine size helps with taking out multiple enemies at a time. It also has a unique function to fire a corrosive grenade if you need to strip some armor off an enemy. But overall, this sidearm does feel very situational, even if the situations it excels in helps it shine. The design of the sidearm also looks incredible too and should be a very welcome addition to your loadouts in Warframe. You should definitely look into trying this one out!

Update 4/10/2025

This build is currently outdated due to a recent hotfix that nullifies the use of the Cannonade mod. Please do not polarize for the Cannonade mod in the meantime, thank you. – Editor
