In Techrot Encore, there were a batch of four new Scaldra-themed weapons added to Warframe. These weapons are designed to fit the newest enemy faction from Warframe: 1999. One such weapon is the Purgator 1, a new slug launching rifle that has its uses where it exceeds in but also lacks in general use beyond that. Before we get into that though, let us first go over our sites recommended build.
Recommended Purgator 1 Build
Below will be the mod set up that will require at least 3 forma:

If there was ever an example of what devastation Primary Acuity can bring to the table, it’s with Purgator 1. This weapon boasts extremely high damage when mixing that with Serration, and Cannonade, then maxing out the critical chance and damage modifiers with the Critical Delay, Vital Sense and Hammer Shot combo. When you throw in Primary Deadhead and Hunter Munitions? It becomes a 1-2 shot monster of a rifle. You could swap Radiated Reload with anything else, but the extra boost in damage helps immensely.
Purgator 1 in Warframe Review
As stated previously, the Purgator 1 works with one very specific use case. That being to almost guarantee a kill when hitting weakpoints with it. From the standard heavy gunner test in the simulacrum to an acolyte in Steel Path, and any boss in-between you can think of. But, also as stated previously, outside of that very specific and methodical use case? The Purgator 1 does not have a lot of viability for crowd control. It hits like a Scaldra truck, yes, but only bring it with you if you intend on killing MVPs or other tanky enemies only.
