With the overwhelmingly positive launch of Warframe: 1999 now a few months behind us, Digital Extremes launched their follow-up update, Techrot Encore with a whole slew of new content and changes for the community to enjoy in Warframe. From a small Ash “retouch”, a lot of quality-of-life changes and the long-awaited Infested Liches. Here is everything you need to know about the update before diving in!
The Encore of a Lifetime in Warframe
For starters, you should expect to enjoy four new Protoframes. One for Nova named Kaya, another for Frost named Velimir, one for Saryn named Minerva and the final one being for the newest warframe, Temple, named Flare. All four will have KIM messaging conversations you can engage in and play major roles in the update. Flare will sell Temples parts and their signature pistol, Minerva will sell the new Scaldra weapons, Velimir will sell 1999 themed decorations, and Kaya will host the new Temporal Archimedea game mode.

There will be 18 new weapons altogether. Four new Scaldra weapons, Temples signature pistol, and 13 new Infested weapons that you can acquire from the Technocyte Coda. The Technocyte Coda are the new Infested Lich system that take the form of the Infested Boyband On-Lyne. Digital Extremes released a detailed video going over how to trigger this system that you can find here.

Alongside the new Temporal Archimedea, there is also a new Defense mission that lets you take the stage with Temple for a defiant show against the Scaldra to earn their parts and signature weapon. As well as a whole slew of meaningful quality-of-life changes you can find here. With Ash getting a noticeable improvement to his kit you can read about here.
Techrot Encore is a free update to Warframe and is available now on every platform, including PlayStation, PC, iOS, Nintendo Switch and Xbox consoles.
