New Darksiders Genesis Trailer Brings the Heat

The Darksiders franchise has had some ups (Darksiders 1 and II) and some downs (Darksiders III). However, the new trailer for Darksiders Genesis shows off an impressive CGI cinematic. It gives off a real Cayde -6 vibe that Destiny fans will appreciate. The original game ended with a cliffhanger that promised four player multiplayer. Since then, we have had a game dedicated to each of the four (non-biblically canonical) horsemen of the Apocalypse: War, Death, Fury, and Strife. This is culminating with Strife in the upcoming prequel Darksiders Genesis. Though the game doesn’t seem to boast four player coop, it does bring back an old favorite for some two-player mayhem. Unlike previous entries, the new game will be a top down, Diablo-style loot grind, getting away from the third person Devil May Cry action vibe. Check out the trailer below.

Darksiders Genesis releases on PC and Stadia on December 5th, 2019 and consoles on February 14th, 2020.
