Cyberpunk Delayed Until September

The delays just keep coming. Earlier this week, it was announced that Avengers and Final Fantasy VII Remake would be delayed. Today, it is Cyberpunk 2077, arguably the most anticipated game of 2019.

The above statement was released from the official CD Projekt Red Twitter account. This firmly puts Cyberpunk 2077 into the realm of the launch window for the new consoles. It wouldn’t be the first big game to straddle generations.

Cyberpunk made a splash at E3 by showing that Keanu Reeves would be a featured NPC. After the smash success of The Witcher games, Cyberpunk is slated to be CD Projekt Red’s first project in a new world since 2007. Hopefully, the additional time will be just what the game needs to smooth out technical issues. The last thing the community wants, after all, is a Fallout 76 style disaster.
