The Weight of Escape from Tarkov

Escape from Tarkov keeps changing almost on a weekly basis to combat hackers, the influx of players, and additional items being added to the game.

This past week they added weight changes. These weight changes are a big deal as they make the player not gain stamina while moving if you are over 48 kg.

Also after you get higher than 48 kg, you then get slower. You run slower, turn slower, and do everything slower. This causes lots of problems for players trying to leave with heavy loot making it easier for Scav players to pick them off as they are running through maps. Here is a standard loadout prior to going into a raid. Your weight is already at 31.4 KG. You wont be able to leave with much more then you go in.

They also added more weapons and armor. One of the nicer things they did was give players a chance to play with the new armor and new weapons as a thank you to the people who watched the reveal stream.  Here is most of it minus the keys, ammo, and clips.

I don’t know about you but I love the changes and I cannot wait to see what else the developer’s add.
