Control Ultimate Edition Coming to Xbox Series and PS5 Consoles February
Control Ultimate Edition comes to Xbox Series consoles as well as the PlayStation 5 on February 2nd. Owners of the current Control Ultimate Edition will get a free digital upgrade. The standard Control edition as well as the DLC will not qualify for a free upgrade. Additionally, stand-alone retail versions for the PS5 and Xbox Series consoles will be hitting retail on March 2nd, 2021.
In 2019 Control was a ray tracing showcase for the new line of Nvidia 2080 graphics cards. Those visual features will be coming to consoles as part of a “Graphics Mode.” Toggling that option on will allow for ray tracing in 30 frames per second. For those looking for higher performance, an optional 60 frames per second mode will be available. In effect removing the ray traced reflections while keep other enhancements.
Control is a fantastic third-person action-adventure Metroidvania set in the same Sci-Fi universe as Alan Wake. You play as Jesse Faden, the new director of the Federal Bureau of Control. A secret division of the government used to investigate paranormal events. Control Ultimate Edition includes the two DLC expansion passes The Foundation. As well as AWE, the Alan Wake tie in.
