Meta Is Expanding Its Strategic Partnership With Microsoft
In the world of technology, we are constantly seeing companies use partnerships and acquisitions to strengthen their business. In a world where everything is becoming more and more expensive, it is often easier to outsource some of the more technical aspects of your business. This has become increasingly clear with the push toward AI and Cloud technology as many companies have enlisted the help of Microsoft’s Azure servers to support their cloud initiatives. This week it was revealed that another big tech company would be using Azure in a major part of their business going forward.
Meta Continues To Grow Microsoft Partnership Through Azure
As revealed during Build 2022, Meta will be continuing and expanding its strategic partnership with Microsoft to streamline its AI development process. Thanks to the help of Azure, Meta plans to expand and accelerate its AI development and research. Using a dedicated cluster of 5400 Azure GPUs that will feature the latest virtual machine series. These GPUs are specifically branded NDM A100 v4 series, featuring NVIDIA A100 Tensor Core 80GB. These incredibly powerful GPUs will be used to handle some of Meta’s biggest AI research projects as the company continues to push forward in its pursuit of this rapidly expanding technology.
Without a doubt, Microsoft and Meta will continue to grow their partnership as both companies are heavily invested in a variety of different interconnecting aspects. The further development of AI has uses in a wide variety of subjects. From applications such as solving impossible equations and increasing efficiency. To more simple applications such as gaming which both Meta and Microsoft are heavily invested in. It is safe to say the investment in AI will continue to grow, and this will not be the last time we hear about this ever-developing relationship.
