The highly anticipated update, Veilbreaker, first shown at Tennocon 2022 is surprisingly launching tomorrow. This update is quite meaty and is going to fundamentally change a lot of stuff in Warframe. As well as bringing with it, the 50th warframe Styanax and a fan favorite character. Here is everything you need to know about the update launching on all platforms.
What you need to know about Veilbreaker
Veilbreaker is focused on the return of Kahl-175, a character from The New War. You will take on a brand new quest focused around him, but only if you have completed The New War. But there is a caveat to this. When this quest launches you will not have access to Kahls weekly missions until the following week, according to Megan on the Warframe forums.
You will also be given a new endgame activity called “Archon Hunts”. These will be very challenging, as they are set to triple digits at the enemy level. As well as limiting respawns and ability usage. But you will be rewarded well for your efforts with “Archon Shards”. These can be installed on a warframe like arcanes to boost various stats. These activities will consist of three regular missions with a boss battle against one of three of the Archons. Whichever Archon is the target that week is the shard you will get.
The 50th warframe Styanax will be coming as well. Bringing with him a devastating kit that lends a helping hand to his teammates. Alongside multiple new weapons, such as a new Spear Gun. If you log in to Warframe during the first few weeks of Veilbreaker, you will be given Styanax for free.
There is also a multitude of different changes coming to the game. Like adjustments to AoE weaponry, ammo economy changes, Spear Gun changes, the Protea Deluxe skin, and much much more. If you would like to read up on all the changes coming, we have a breakdown of Devstream 163 you can read here.
