Ark: Survival Evolved Teases Unreal Engine 5 Update
Perhaps one of the most interesting parts of new gaming hardware is seeing how developers begin to craft new experiences with the power of the new devices. A major driver of these improvements is usually engine optimization or the creation of newer and more intuitive engines. There are very few engines more well-known than Unreal Engine, and with the release of Unreal Engine 5 to say it’s a technical marvel is an understatement. Blending incredible performance, with developer-friendly tools that allow studios to bring their in-progress projects into Unreal Engine 5 more easily. As well as being able to port already released games from Unreal Engine 4 to the newly upgraded 5. More and more developers have begun bringing their projects to Unreal Engine 5 as well as using tools to update their existing games. It appears that Ark: Survival Evolved might just be one such game that will get this upgrade.
In a post from the official Ark: Survival Evolved Twitter account, it appears that the developers might be teasing an Unreal Engine 5 upgrade. What would this mean for Ark: Survival Evolved? It means that players could see massively improved performance in terms of fidelity and framerate, as well as lighting improvements. It could also mean the game could be less taxing on hardware which will allow PC players to mod more easily without having to work their PC harder. While this meme is far from official confirmation from developers Studio Wildcard, it would be odd if they teased this upgrade and didn’t follow through with it. With Ark 2 on the horizon, it seems like it would only make sense for Studio Wildcard to make the original game as smooth as it can be.

Because UE4 was the problem? Lol? #Devs. The meme was a poor choice of advertising for ARK.
