The latest edition of ASUS’s Zenbook S series packs a ton of high-end performance into an incredibly small package.
High-Powered OLED Performance
The Zenbook S 13 OLED is a sleek and thin device that packs a lot of goodies in its 2.2 lbs chassis. The 13.3-inch screen is a 16:10 ASUS Lumina OLED display with a resolution of 2.8k and a lightning-fast 0.2 millisecond response time. You will have crystal clear images as well as bright and vivid colors aplenty. Gamers will rejoice as well as the Zenbook S 13 OLED is Dolby Vision certified.
Having a beautiful screen is great, but you need power in order to drive those stunning visuals to the screen. The Zenbook S 13 OLED is no slouch when it comes to performance. As it packs a 13th Gen Intel Core i7 processor, combined with 32 GB of LPDDR5 RAM for lightning-quick processing. In the mobile PC space, often memory can become an issue quite easily with smaller SSDs preferred by many manufacturers. This is not the case with the Zenbook as it packs a beefy 1 TB PCIe 4.0 x 4 SSD. All this hardware combines to make for a lightning-fast user experience whether you are gaming on the go or working on that next big presentation.
There is no cheap off-brand audio system packed into the Zenbook S 13 either, as it features a certified Harman Kardon audio system. As well as immersive Dolby Atmos sound bundled with a smart amplifier. This combined with ASUS’s own audio booster technology it is able to boost volume by up to 5.25X. This means whether you are watching a pulse-pounding action movie or listening to a business call. You can have the best of both worlds.
Small And Mighty
To say the Zenbook S 13 OLED is a slim device is an understatement. Featuring a super slim 1 cm profile, and a 2.2lb weight it is astonishing how much performance is packed into this little device. Keeping the Zenbook compact without sacrificing performance appears to have been a major goal for ASUS. As well as making sure the user was not tied down with charge cords, or tied up with dongles and add-ons. The Zenbook S 13 OLED features a high-capacity 63 Wh battery. Which translates to users being able to stream almost 14 hours of video content on a single charge.
A lack of ports is often a problem in the netbook space, as extra ports can often increase the size of the product. The Zenbook S 13 manages to pack two Thunderbolt 4 USB-C ports, a USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-A port, an HDMI 2.1 port then finally a 3.5 mm audio jack. To think all of these ports are slammed into a 1 cm profile is practically unheard of.
