The God of Mischief makes his return. Today, Marvel Studios released a new trailer for Loki season 2. This trailer highlighted a number of returning characters. However, the show’s stakes become raised after the destruction of the sacred timeline. Here are the details.
The Major Players
Loki returns as the focal point of the series. The Loki season 2 trailer begins with him and Mobius pleading to OB (played by award-winner Ke Huy Quan) for help. Loki has begun to time-slip uncontrollably. Consequently, he blips to different timelines within the trailer.
Meanwhile, Jonathan Majors makes his return as Kang. Kang stands to be the main villain for the current phase of the MCU. However, this was thrown into uncertainty with the arrest of Jonathan Majors over allegations of assault and domestic abuse. Yet, he has continually denied allegations, and his lawyers announced new evidence that will prove his innocence. However, new allegations continue to resurface about the actor. Marvel has refrained from commenting on the controversy but plans for Kang seem to continue forward.
TVA At Odds

Sylvie rejoins the dynamic duo as they adventure through time. The Loki season 2 trailer poses questions of morality as manipulating events in time is akin to playing god. Loki’s decision on the matter proves unsatisfactory to the TVA and the two remain at odds. On the other hand, the trailer does show the ex-judge Ravonna Renslayer making her return. She lost faith in the TVA after the events of season 1.
Meanwhile, Kang’s motivations are unknown. The iteration we see of Kang is one of a scientist giving a demonstration at the World’s Fair of 1893. Time will tell how the season plays out. However, fans will not have long to wait.
Loki season 2 drops on October 6. You can watch it exclusively on Disney+. What are your thoughts on the new trailer? Are you burned out by the MCU or happy for Loki’s return? Let us know in the comments down below.
