Devstream 175 for Warframe has just wrapped up on all official channels. This stream was dedicated to the upcoming expansion next month Whispers in the WallsOriginally shown off at TennoCon 2023, alongside Warframe: 1999 to cap off the event. This expansion was broken down in thorough detail. As they showed off an hour of gameplay revolving around some of the new activities. As well as the next warframe, Qorvex, story quest details and much more. Here is everything that was shown off at Devstream 175!

Everything Shown off at Devstream 175

For starters to unlock Whispers in the Walls you will have to finish both Heart of Deimos and The New War. Additionally, if you are a new player, they will be adding a new Initiate Power Pack that will unlock a fully leveled Nova, Rhino, Fragor and Sobek, and mods to help with the process of progressing through the games star chart. Warframe will also no longer require mastery ranks for story quests moving forward. This means you will no longer be time gated to progress through the game alone or with friends.

Moving onto the details for the quest itself. Whispers in the Walls is an expansion that will set up the storytelling future for Warframe. This means every piece of story content moving forward will be one cohesive storyline. The gameplay from TennoCon for both Whispers in the Walls and Warframe: 1999 are representative of what you will be playing. As the gameplay shown for Warframe :1999 is actually part Whispers in the Walls.

The expansion will feature the previously shown new procedurally generated tileset. As well as the previously shown two new factions. An expansion to the Necramech enemy faction with miniature mechs, as well as robot dogs. While also throwing into the mix the Murmur faction and the nightmarish eldritch inspired amalgamations. When in the Entrati Labs, you will find remnants of multiple giants called “The Vessels” that will be explained in the quest.

The quest will also be an estimated hour and a half long similar to The Duviri ParadoxBut similar to that expansion, there will be a lot of post quest content to dive into. Such as the new warframe, Qorvex and a new Syndicate called the Cavia, that they have not gone into detail for.

The 55th Warframe, Qorvex

Qorvex is going to be a warframe designed around a mixture of the concrete within the void zones in the Entrati Labs. While also hosting a “Void Core” that powers the frame. You will get his blueprint from the quest, and he will come with a signature syandana and alternate helmet. As well as a signature archgun, similar to Hildryn. His abilities are as follows:

  1. Chyrinka Pillar: Summons a pillar that deals periodic radiation damage to enemies. You can summon two of these.
  2. Containment Wall: Summons two walls around enemies and collapses them together while dealing damage.
  3. Disometric Guard: Buffs allies and Qorvex by nullifying status effects for a period of time.
  4. Crucible Blast: Fires a radiation beam from Qorvex’s chest and makes him invincible while its casted.
  5. Stats are focused on armor and health.
  6. His passive gives innate radiation damage to his weapons.

His signature archgun, Mandonel will fire like a grenade launcher and the alternate fire will be beam of radiation damage. Additionally, in Whispers in the Walls archguns will now grant two thousand overguard once summoned.

He sounds like a very strong and defensive warframe to take into the new game modes.

Three New Game Modes

Similar to Angels of the Zariman, the Entrati Labs and its new missions will be accessed from a new player hub called The Sanctum. One of the new game modes is called “Alchemy”. Alchemy is a new endless mode where you will create alchemical concoctions within a crucible in the Entrati Labs. This mode sounds simple in comparison to the second new game mode called “Netracells”.

Netracells will be a game mode revolving around the debuffs granted from Dragon Keys. When players load in, they will have to take one of four debuffs, or if you are playing alone, you will have to take all four. Not much more regarding this game mode is known, but it will have a weekly reward similar to The Circuit’s Steel Path mode for Archon Shards.

The final game mode is a remix of the assassination game mode where you will have to fight one of the “Fragmented Tide” boss enemies. However to fight this enemy you will have to do a set of objectives to get it to spawn.

But as this is just the new content being added, there will be a ton of new and interesting content coming with Whispers in the WallsSuch as an enhanced heavy melee system.

Tennokai and New Archon Shards

As part of the rewards for doing the Whispers in the Walls quest, you will unlock a new heavy melee system called “Tennokai”. Tennokai will randomly activate a free heavy melee swing to use while you are attacking normally. These new heavy melee swings will be instant and not break the flow of your attacks. All melee weapons will now have an exilus slot and arcane slot for mods and arcanes centered around Tennokai.

Tennokai mods will be earned exclusively in the new missions provided in Whispers in the Walls. But if you do not have the patience for thegrind, you can buy a pack of them, similar to how the Parazon mods work. However Zaw arcanes like Exodia arcanes cannot be used on normal weapons.

Archon Shards will also be getting an expansion in Whispers in the Walls. You can now fuse any two different Archon shards into different colored ones that give new and unique stats. There will be Violet, Topaz and Emerald variants. This new system also works on Tauforged Shards.

Alongside all of this, Arcane Dissolution will transform unused or unwanted Arcanes into currency to buy randomized packs. So, for those who really want lucrative Arcanes from specific regions, you may have an easier route to earning them!

Post-Launch Clan Operation: Gargoyles Cry and Gauss Prime

Gargoyles cry is going to be a brand-new clan event in Warframe, following the release of this expansion. However, unlike previous operations, there will be no leaderboard as it will be more narrative focused on the aftereffects of Whispers in the Walls. Alongside the statue and many other goodies, you can earn yourself an exclusive Signa.

Gauss Prime will be launching on January 17th as Whispers in the Walls and will be bringing with him the Acceltra and Akarius prime. His prime accessories pack will include an alternate helmet, armor set, syandana and a first of its kind floof.

Finally, Cross Save will finally launch. Allowing players of all platforms to finally continue their journey wherever they want. However, access to cross save will roll in waves. Founders of the game will be allowed to go first, and all players can choose a main account to continue their journey, but you can merge all earned progress and items into that main account. There will be some restrictions, so please visit the Cross Save FAQ on the official Warframe website.

Warframe Mobile and New Cosmetics

The Warframe mobile beta will be sunsetted on November 30th as they work towards the full release in 2024. Warframe Mobile will be coming android alongside iOS or shortly after the initial release. Digital Extremes will also be appearing at The Game Awards hosted by Geoff Keighley with some new information on Whispers in the Walls.

Finally, there was some details on new and upcoming cosmetics and captura scenes in Whispers in the Walls. There will be captura scenes of every room of the Entrati labs. As well as a Kalymos skin pack for kavats. Sevagoth Deluxe will be launching with this expansion and will feature exclusive music for his shadow transformation. As well as a signature armor piece that has a cute floating fish.

If you would like to catch all of the minute details from Devstream 175, you can do so here. But that was everything shown during the devstream.
