One of the early PlayStation cross-generation efforts, Kena: Bridge of Spirits delighted. With a beautiful world to explore mixed with charming characters and enjoyable gameplay, the title was enjoyed on PlayStation and PC platforms in 2021.
The game skipped Xbox platforms completely during its launch period. But similar to Stray, the title is coming to Xbox platforms after its successful launch elsewhere.
Mending The Soul – Kena: Bridge of Spirits Xbox ESRB Rating
As reported by Video Games Chronicle, an ESRB listing for an Xbox version was discovered. While the game was a PlayStation console exclusive, Ember Lab did state the game would come elsewhere. Josh Grier, COO of Ember Lab said:
“We are currently focused on our launches for PlayStation and Epic Games Store, which are timed exclusives,” He added, “We will look into other platform releases after launch and a rest.”
How Will the Game Launch on Xbox?
The question to ask then is how Kena: Bridge of Spirits will be released on Xbox platforms. One possible answer could be through Game Pass. A lot of the time, Xbox versions are created through Game Pass deals. While that has resulted in some games not releasing if the deal falls through, most of the time they are a way to get games on the platform.
Another could be how Stray was released on the console, simply releasing on Xbox platforms with no Game Pass deal in sight.
Overall Thoughts on Kena: Bridge of Spirits Coming to Xbox
As someone who greatly enjoys 3D platformers and similar genres, this title was one of the first games I dabbled with when I got my PlayStation 5 in 2022. Beautiful visuals and a genuinely charming cast were a joy to experience. When it was announced as a PlayStation console exclusive, I was initially disappointed as a Xbox-only owner.
