In a surprise announcement so early in the morning, the official Twitter/X account for Dragon Quest has just released a small teaser video hinting at the HD-2D remake of Dragon Quest 3. This small video starts with an etching of the Mark of Erdrick, and then states the following:

This confirms that the HD-2D Remake of Dragon Quest 3 will be fully multiplatform. Arriving on the Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch and Steam when it launches. But when it launches, and how much it will cost is still up in the air. One can also speculate that this Tweet not fully referencing this specific remake, despite being pretty clear that it is, might indicate that the HD-2D remake of Dragon Quest 3 might also include announcements for the first and second games getting remade in this style.

However, this is all that was announced so far. The game was originally announced three years on the 35th Anniversary alongside the 12th installment. Hyping up the community who has been craving more traditional experiences with the series. Today is Dragon Quest Day and there may be more updates on other titles in the future. Such as Dragon Quest 12 but we may see more of the HD-2D remake in the following weeks. As leaked by Midori on Twitter:
