The Sonic Boom Expands – Sonic Symphony Reveals New Tour Dates

Sonic as a franchise excels with its music. And as Lord Sonic, I’ve discussed that a few times. But the first time I addressed this topic of Sonic’s music, was the Sonic Symphony.

The show, blending amazing rock/metal and a talented orchestra, has been on tour for well over a year now. And now this sonic boom expands its reach to several new locations.

Sonic Symphony New Tour Dates

As reported by Bleeding Cool, they stated the following on this exciting announcement:

SEGA and MGP Live have announced several new dates for the Sonic Symphony World Tour, as they have expanded their tourn into Fall 2024. The new round of dates run from mid-September until the end of December, and include several new dates in the United States, as well as a new date in London.

The full list of additional tour dates can be found on the official Sonic Symphony website. Some of these additional shows include a heavily requested New York City show for June 8th at 3PM and shows in London for example.

What Should You Expect?

For those unfamiliar with a Sonic Symphony show, you can read my adventure seeing the show here. But the short version is a celebration of some of the best music across the Sonic series. Played by talented people who love the franchise nearly as much as the fans.

The producer of the show, Shota Nakama, is very public on social media. So much so, many fan-requested songs like Unknown from M.E. and Pumpkin Hill got added to the set list in celebration for the Knuckles TV series. In addition, SEGA officially confirmed music from Shadow the Hedgehog’s many adventures (covering games like Shadow the Hedgehog, Sonic 06 and Adventure 2) will be in upcoming shows.

One of the biggest editions to recent shows were the various Titan Boss themes from Sonic Frontiers. And to say I’m beyond hyped to see them all live would be an understatement.

Overall Thoughts

As someone who cherished his time seeing the first Washington D.C. show and planning on seeing one of the New York City ones, I am beyond excited seeing this continue.

Sonic as a franchise can be called many things, but one aspect of it everyone universally loves, is the music. And having a place where everyone can celebrate their love and passion for the franchise in a wholesome way is amazing. Fully expect an Editorial on the NYC show in a few weeks from yours truly.
