Anime, Fish-men and More! – Multiversus Leak (Rumor)

With the launch of Multiversus future characters joining the rosters are expected. While it is known Agent Smith will be joining the fight soon, other fighters aren’t known yet.

But thanks to insiders and data mining, several characters could be coming to the game.

Keep in mind these are potential spoilers, so continue reading at your transgression.

Characters Joining the Fight!

Though datamining, several characters are potentially coming to Multiversus.

Powerpuff Girls

The iconic Powerpuff Girls are coming to the fight. While this was hinted at during the relaunch trailer, official files within the game feature voice lines. Said voice lines have all three of the Powerpuff Girls’ present, in addition to lines from Rick mentioning Professor X and the girls as well.

Another insider also claims that a special variant for the Powerpuff Girls’ will be included as well. The Rowdypuff Boys will be a special variant for the girls, having their dialog and unique interactions with the cast.

Marceline (Adventure Time)

Adventure Time’s vampire queen is coming to the game as well. Her name is mentioned in the ‘character list’ file. In addition, Rick has dialogue talking to her.

Considering she has no voice files in the game currently, she may join the game later in the year. Maybe during the Fall season?

Ruby Rose (RWBY)

Despite the recent situation with Rooster Teeth, Ruby Rose from RWBY potentially is coming to the game. Rick has various voice lines directly mentioning Ruby’s weapon and ‘Dust’ powers.

Aquaman (DC Comics)

The aquatic ruler of Atlantis is coming to the game. Rick directly mentions him in dialog, comparing him to Nimbus from Rick & Morty.

In addition, Aquaman also has voice lines in the game as well.

Mr. Meeseeks (Rick & Morty)

Despite being part of Rick’s moveset, Mr. Meeseeks has data in the files indicating he could be a full-featured fighter in the future. As shown through this tweet, his moveset isn’t finished but it is beyond what his AI could do when Rick summons him.

It would line up with prior character inclusions, as Adventure Time’s Banana Guard joined the roster as a ‘joke’ fighter. So why not include another joke character? His moveset could be very fun as well, leaning into longing for death like in Rick & Morty.

Daffy Duck (Loony Tunes)

No voice lines were discovered but Daffy Duck could be joining the fight too. A prototype fighter referencing moves Daffy could have was discovered.

Considering Bugs, Taz and Marvin are present in the roster, Bugs ‘Luigi’ needs to join the fight.

Samurai Jack

Hinted at in the launch trailer, voice lines were found in the game. This indicates the time-traveling swordsmen are joining the multiversal rumble.

New Stages for Multiversus

Various stages were also discovered in the files, with the following set to join Multiversus.

  • Titans Tower (Teen Titans)
  • Water Tower (Animaniacs)
  • Candy Kingdom (Adventure Time)
  • Mouse Wheel (Pinky and the Brain)
  • Acme Labs (Looney Tunes)
  • Cat Concerto
  • Friday the 13th, The Lake
  • “time split” – Back to the Past
  • Gremlins, Midnight Screening
  • Wabbit Season (Looney Tunes)

Closing Thoughts

These additions, assuming they happen, would be wonderful inclusions to the game. WB has a treasure trove of IP to utilize and the characters and locations leaked are just ‘some’ of what is coming.

Hints also indicate characters like Raven (Teen Titans) and more are coming, so if anything mentioned here doesn’t excite you, your favorite WB character has a chance.
