Witchfire Finally Coming to steam!
Witchfire is a single-player, dark fantasy RPG FPS, where you play as a wicked sinner turned Witch hunter on his last mission to reach salvation. The gameplay features Roguelite and Souls-like elements. The game aims to be challenging yet rewarding while giving the player many roads to success.
The game was originally released in Early Access back in September of 2023 as an Epic Game store exclusive. At the time the game was bare bones content-wise but still received praise for its core gameplay. Since then, it has been getting regular updates such as the most recent “Wailing Tower” patch. This patch was significant and even released the game’s first raid map. Before Witchfire , members of the team worked on games such as Painkiller and Bulletstorm.
Steam Early Access Release & Roadmap
It was announced today that Witchfire will be coming to Steam early access this year. Players can Wishlist it now on its Steam page to be notified upon its release. The goal during the Steam early access period is to add new areas, enemies, and weapons.
Witchfire Hype Check
Witchfire is very much a game that speaks to me. The gritty gothic theme mixed with the looter shooter style. I will be keeping a close eye on what gets added during the Steam early access cycle. In a gaming reality where there isn’t enough time to play everything released, I believe Witchfire could burn a place in the hearts of the players and it’s a title that should be on everyone’s radar.
