The latest update for Warframe, Koumei and The Five Fates, has finally arrived. Bringing with it a special new game mode for everyone to sink their teeth into and earn Koumei and her weapons. But this is not just a simple twist on an already existing game mode, it is simple but has some things you need to know. Shrine Defense can be the fastest game mode to complete, so long as you know what you are doing. As such, here is a quick and easy guide to getting started, and what to do!

Shrine Defense Guide in Warframe
For starters, you will have to go to Cetus and talk to Konzu and Saya. Afterwards you will be prompted to go to the Koumei statue like you see above. But I do not recommend starting the mission here. Go to your orbiter and select the mission like so:

When you load in on public or by yourself, go to the first Shrine offering and take it over to the giant Koumei statue in the dream.

From here you will have two areas to defend on timers. When an enemy enters the ring in either zone, that zones timer is paused until you clear it out. If you are with a group, have two people at each zone with crowd control frames, such as vauban, banshee or nova with one person running over to take the offerings to Koumei’s shrine. You will need to do 2 rounds of these before you have to kill a large number of enemies until the mini-boss, Infested Oni, spawns.

The Oni can be killed very easily, but you cannot strip its armor. After getting it down to half health, you will have to grab the final batch of offerings and bring them to the Koumei statue and then finish off the Oni. Doing so will net you Fate Pearls, which are used to buy Koumei, and her weapons from the same statue in Cetus.

Every time you complete the mission, you will either get endo, relics, or a chance at a blueprint for either one of her parts. I do not recommend going into Steel Path for this after you get the mastery rank experience points from it, as the mission drags on for way too long without a substantial increase in rewards. You are better off running the normal mission multiple times to get what you need faster.
But this is a quick and easy guide for Shrine Defense in Warframe, I hope this helps you, Tenno!
