Warframe: Ash “Retouch” Breakdown

On March 19th, Techrot Encore, the follow up update for Warframe: 1999 will be launching. This update includes a whole slew of new content and quality of life changes. Between all of these changes and additions, however, is a light rework for the Ash warframe. They have dubbed the level of changes to his kit in this light rework “retouch” because while his kit is getting improved, it is not on the same level as the recent Nyx, or Trinity light rework. Below will be a breakdown of what to expect from this “retouch”!

Ash Warframe “Retouch” Details

During Devstream 185, they talked about the following improvements coming to Ash’s kit in Warframe:

  • Shuriken – Will now throw 5 shurikens, have 50% increased damage and will be thrown in an arc for better usability. They will also add to your melee combo counter.
  • Smoke Screen – Now has 50% more base duration than it did before.
  • Teleport – The augment, “Fatal Teleport’s” buff will be rolled into Teleport. Fatal Teleport automatically makes Ash perform a finished on the enemy, dealing triple the damage and refunding half of the energy cost. What Fatal Teleport will do now is give more parkour velocity after a teleport and extend the duration of Smoke Screen when you kill an enemy.
  • Bladestorm – Can now be modded like Excalibur’s Exalted Blade to allow further build depth. It will also receive increased enemy marking range.

Coming in Techrot Encore is the ability to add Arcanes to exalted weapons. This will further allow you mod Bladestorm to your liking. While this is still just a light touch up to Ash’s build, this should make him more interesting to use in Warframe.
