Every year, Digital Extremes hosts their annual TennoCon event, and this year marks 10 years with TennoCon 2025. This event is centered around the community, with scenery, stalls, and even rooms that feel home-y to players of Warframe and Soulframe. Last year, we at Lords of Gaming were given the privilege and honor of attending the event in person. This year, we will be at the venue again, courtesy of Digital Extremes, and this year will be a bit of a wildcard for the community in terms of reveals.
In 2023, Digital Extremes showcased 3 very exciting gameplay reveals for both of their games. For Soulframe, we got the first look at gameplay, cinematics, and its story component. For Warframe, we got to see the exciting first step into the ongoing Indifference-focused storyline with Whispers in the Walls. After that expansion-sized update reveal, we got a tease of Warframe: 1999, which showed extremely well and felt like a blast from the Dark Sector past. But moving into 2024, we already knew what we would see for the most part, at TennoCon 2024.

A bombastic, extended look at gameplay for 1999 was at the center of TennoLive. But there were other gameplay reveals for Soulframe earlier in the day, alongside other update announcements. TennoCon 2025 will mark 10 years of the annual event for Digital Extremes. This means they could be planning to go all out for both games, and while we at Lords of Gaming are waiting with bated breath to see things alongside the community, we do have some predictions for what might be shown on the 19th for both games. Here are our best guesses!
Soulframe Preludes 11 Reveal at TennoCon 2025
Soulframe will be the opening act for TennoCon 2025. Their 8th Devstream may be similar in length to their previous showcase at TennoCon 2024. That is to say, about 90 minutes or more.

They will most likely be debuting their next big Preludes update following Preludes 10. I expect Preludes 11 to bring with it the Runes and Motes buildcrafting system. Alongside the next “Fable” quest for Bromeus the bear. I also expect that Midrath Island will have some of its sealed-off castles and forts opened up fully for Sparrow’s tales.
Founders Pack Revealed with Pricing
Digital Extremes has said on a previous Devstream that they will have a Founders Pack for Soulframe. At TennoCon 2025, I expect there to be a reveal for the Founders Pack. It may be one singular pack for cohesive marketing purposes or a tiered structure. What it will contain will be a mystery to me, but I hope it does not have an Excalibur Prime-like exclusive goody.
Public Preludes Opening During TennoCon 2025
I also expect the Preludes program for Soulframe to open to the public with a confirmation of a Steam version in the works and release by the end of the year. This means that you might not need an invite code, but instead just make an account and start playing.

While many players are enjoying the game right now, the current invitation system is still inconsistent, and it would behoove them to not look into adding their very active and massive Steam audience to the public Preludes program.
Preludes 12 Tease
While everything listed above is already pretty crazy, I expect them to close their showcase with the tease for Preludes 12. Preludes 12 may add more to Midrath, or simply focus on the flying Castles they have teased previously.
Now, for Warframe? This may be the most unpredictable showcase for TennoLive this year.
The Next Prime Warframe
To play it safe, the next Prime Warframe will be revealed, considering last year they revealed Sevagoth Prime. It may be Gyre or Caliban. If it is Gyre, she will arrive with the Alternox Prime and Hespar Prime. If it is Caliban, he may arrive with the Venato Prime and either the Basmu Prime or an Archgun.

Post TennoCon 2025 Update
Similar to The Lotus Eaters last year, I expect Digital Extremes to launch a small-scale update in a few weeks after the show. I think it will be related to post Techrot Encore and Isleweaver events. Where either Kaya helps other members of the Hex escape 1999, or it will simply be just a quality-of-life filled update with the next Prime. They could also make that third Orb in Fortuna fightable as part of Pazuul’s storyline if they decide to revisit him.
Fall Update Reveal
Last year, they announced Koumei and the Five Fates, disguised as an “Unannounced Update,” they would reveal at Tokyo Game Show later that year. This could be the case again, but with a confirmed title. This update could either be revealed at Gamescom or at Tokyo Game Show again. It could be a small lead-up to the end-of-the-year major update, involving possibly Pazuul and Narmer.

It would be pretty cool to see a new group of Archons that either use the Emerald, Topaz, and Amethyst shards, or a new Archon fight with a new shard for further buildcrafting possibilities.
End of the Year Update, and Maybe a Surprise?
As stated previously, there is really no telling what could be the next big expansion-sized update for Warframe. The community has its many theories, most commonly Tau. But I believe it will be something involving the Sentient faction. It could be a new area in the game that might utilize railjack or Archwing in some form or fashion. Obviously, there was a tease of the Sun with some ominous and ethereal music playing at the end of the TennoCon 2025 trailer below. But I do not believe that will be part of the main update reveal for this year.
Instead, similar to the Warframe: 1999 reveal in 2023, I believe whatever that small tease represented will be part of a surprise reveal. Whether it has something to do with Preghasa or Tau is a complete mystery. But it may be a similar case where they surprise everyone with what that tease meant, and make TennoCon 2026 the place to see Tau as a new solar system, with access to its menu next to Duviri and Railjack in the star chart.
What will be shown at TennoCon 2025 is definitely a mystery, and I expect to be wrong about most (or all) of what is shown. But we at Lords of Gaming will be just as shocked and excited as the community is during the Soulframe Devstream and TennoLive for Warframe this year.

[…] Also coming in the Unannounced Fall 2025 update, all Lavos mains will now have a sick new Deluxe skin to show off their love for him. Also announced for this update was Caliban Prime. Caliban Prime will be launching with a new Operator outfit, and the Venato Prime, which we mostly predicted in our predictions piece nearly 2 weeks ago! […]
