Warframe Devstream 190 Breakdown

Happy Halloween to you, dear reader and Tenno alike. Digital Extremes had every trick up their sleeve with many treats to give to their playerbase today on Devstream 190. Pulling back the curtain on details regarding the end-of-year expansion, The Old Peace, the next prime warframe, and so much more. Featuring special guest appearances from industry legends in costume, and amazing world premieres to boot. Here is everything from Devstream 190!

Everything From Devstream 190

Digital Extremes started off by announcing they have raised $312,400 CAD in their annual Quest to Conquer Cancer that benefits the Princess Margaret Cancer Foundation. The Warframe community showed their support from stream to stream with donations to help the cause, and they are going to be handsomely rewarded for it throughout November, especially with the reveal of the in-progress artwork for Voruna’s Deluxe skin. After that announcement, they revealed their plans for Movember starting tomorrow.

Players in Warframe can finally wear mustaches again (even for Protoframes!), and there is also a cool mustache Sumdali for your Orbiter that I hope will be a permanent addition. They also announced there will be a closed beta test for the Android version of the game in November as well. The mobile version is a pretty unique port that we at Lords of Gaming were able to try out at TennoCon 2025 earlier in the year!

Finally, before specific news for Warframe itself, they talked about plans for events next year. They announced they will be in Australia for TennoVIP in January and February. Also announced was TennoCon 2026, which will take place in July from the 10th to the 11th. The two-day event will feature news for both of their games and will no doubt have jaw-dropping reveals like they did this year (and yes, Tau too).

Warframe Nintendo Switch 2 Version News

On Devstream 190, Digital Extremes also showed new handheld gameplay for Warframe on the Nintendo Switch 2. It was using DLSS and looked spectacular on the Devstream with no performance issues present during the presentation. The gameplay footage was captured in the new Nightcap bounties in the Vallis Undermine, as opposed to old content, to show how performant the device is.

From here, they delved deep into the news for so much of the content coming in The Old Peace.

The Devils Triad

Digital Extremes confirmed that The Old Peace is launching in December. This expansion will take players back to the time before the Tenno went to War against the Orokin and the Sentients. Unlike past expansions, there will be no new syndicate being added in Warframe. Players will be bartering with each protoframe instead, while working to unlock the new Focus ultimates shown in the gameplay demo.

Following this news, they talked about all things involving The Devils Triad. The Devils Triad will be a group of 3 protoframes that you will be able to talk with via the KIM messaging system in Warframe: 1999. You will also be able to visit them through a portal in the Sanctum Anatomica that leads to a Cathedral called “Albrechts Exile”. It is here you will be able to talk to”

Lyon is a protoframe for Harrow, Marie is Wisp, and Roathe will be an Orokin protoframe for the 63rd warframe, Uriel. They showed off the customization options for each protoframe and their unique Gemini skin emotes. All 3 will be able to have their headwear removed (only their headwear), while Roathes’ armor will be customizable separately. But they did not stop there for Roathe, as they showed off Uriel’s first ability in-game and more details about the upcoming devil frame.

How Uriel Will Work in Warframe

Uriel will be a warframe that is centered around fire and companions that will give commands to the player. His first ability showed him slowly flying around the arena and allowed the player to stop, aim, and shoot at will. It looked incredibly stylish, but they did not show off his other abilities during Devstream 190. Uriel’s companions are lying demons, which add to the overall theme of Uriel being the devil frame. They also confirmed he will have a Prex Card and a more devil-looking alternate helmet.

From here, they talked about interactions with The Devils Triad. They will be dateable, and Digital Extremes confirmed you can date any character from these 3, alongside those found in 1999. The Devils Triad will also have a real date mechanic that allows you to meet them in certain Captura scenes for screenshot purposes. Digital Extremes confirmed this mechanic could make it to 1999’s characters if it is popular enough.

Operator Rework Detailed

Part of The Old Peace will be the visual reworks for the Operator and Drifter characters. These characters are customizable right now, but are a little dated. This is going to be rectified in December when the expansion drops. Digital Extremes is making a massive sweeping change to the customization system, raising the quality bar significantly, as you can see below.

Digital Extremes said you will be able to pick defaults or go with previous options if you so choose. Hair and face paints are getting a lot of love, similar to beards and the UI. The UI menu for customization looks a lot sleeker and allows you to pick from eyebrows, lips, eyes, and so forth more cohesively. They also showed off a new suit and adornments for the Operator, inspired by Roathe.

Finally, before diving into a brand new and cool-looking game mode, they also revealed that account titles will be getting added to Warframe. 50 titles are coming that you will unlock through gameplay, including a simple and modest clem for enthusiasts.

Entering Descendia in Warframe

In The Old Peace, there will be 2 new tilesets with new game modes coming. One that will be centered around the Operator called “The Perita Rebellion” that they did not show off on the devstream, and another called “Descendia”, which they showed at length.

Descendia is a tileset with themes of The Indifference that is fire and brimstone coded. Descendia will be a weekly challenge tower of sorts that features a Steel Path version. There will be 21 floors, with new objectives and gameplay styles to engage in. Simple exterminations, treasure rooms, and boss fights await you on every floor. But the catch is that you will have to be quick while playing. This is due to the fact that fire is slowly descending on each floor, forcing you to do every floor as quickly as possible. You can find a brief gameplay clip here.

Whether you are fighting infested, necramechs in a mech of your own or taking on Kullervo and Narmer, Descendia seems to have it all (including a rocking soundtrack) and looks scary to boot.

Gyre Prime on the Tauron Strike

Gyre Prime was revealed in-game with all of her glory and her prime weapons. She will be arriving in The Old Peace and will bring with her the Alternox and Kestrel Prime.

They also showed off the new Focus ultimate system for Operators and Drifters. As mentioned before, you will get the resources needed to unlock them through The Devils Triad, and they showcased a new ultimate. The ultimates are named the “Tauron Strike” and will include, but are not limited to:

  • Naramon’s Giant Electric Sword Swing.
  • And Unairu’s Giant Frost Hammer Smash.

The other three may be shown off alongside the focus rework in Devstream 191. Before closing this Devstream, they broke the sad news that wallrunning will not make its way into The Old Peace, as shown in the demo. It will be added in 2026, however. They also showed a new artwork display you can buy in Warframe that revealed 6 prime warframes. Rebecca Ford, the Creative Director of the game, confirmed it is not a hint at raids returning to the game.

But that was everything from Devstream 190 today. If you would like to watch the full Devstream for any minute details. You can do so below.
