What Is Aerial_Knight’s MrFreezy?
Aerial_Knight’s MrFreezy is a horror-inspired puzzle game from Aerial_Knight Games launching on Steam on September 1, 2026. A console version will follow at a later date.
The studio describes the game as a light-hearted puzzle experience about decapitating men. Players take control of a mysterious woman who kidnaps men and locks them inside her basement workshop.
Meanwhile, authorities across New Detroit are searching for a serial killer they have named Mr. Freezy after hundreds of severed heads are discovered hidden inside freezers throughout the city.
That is apparently where the “light-hearted” part begins.
The game will feature fast combo-building, unusual head mechanics, unlockable secrets, replayable score-chasing levels, and leaderboards. According to the studio, the different head mechanics will continually change how its puzzles work.
MrFreezy also takes place within the expanding Aerial_Knight universe. The studio says it is darker than anything the team has previously created while still delivering the kind of satisfying gameplay that encourages players to return for another run.
Aerial_Knight Games also announced that Patreon members who have remained subscribed for at least three months at any paid tier will receive the game for free.
Aerial_Knight Games Remains a Studio to Watch
We covered past Aerial_Knight Games through DropShot, another smaller and decidedly unusual project from the studio. MrFreezy continues that pattern.
Aerial_Knight Games is an important studio to follow because its games feel personal. They may be quirky and smaller in scope, but they are not interchangeable products built by committee. Each one carries a distinct perspective.
MrFreezy may be the clearest reflection of that yet.
This is a game about a woman who has been kidnapping men, chopping off their heads, and hiding hundreds of them inside freezers across New Detroit.
Whoa. Honestly, the premise alone blows my mind. It is strange, dark, funny, and instantly memorable. Plenty of games can look polished. Far fewer can make you stop while reading an announcement and wonder how anyone came up with the idea in the first place.
That willingness to create something small, specific, and completely unexpected is exactly why Aerial_Knight Games remains worth watching.
