Microsoft’s Love Affair With Switch Continues With The Outer Worlds
Chris Carter at Destructoid has reported that Obsidian’s stellar open solar system RPG The Outer Worlds is coming to the Switch on March 6, 2020.
The game will see both a physical and an e-shop release for full retail price. The Outer Worlds launched on the Xbox Game Pass service, Playstation and PC back in October. At launch, it was widely acclaimed as one of the best games of last year. The Outer Worlds self-contained planets and short side-quests make it much more suitable for the platform than dynamic environments of The Witcher 3 which was ported last year.
This marks yet another game from Microsoft’s stable to launch on the Nintendo Switch including Cuphead and Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice. Microsoft owned character Banjo Kazooie also appeared in Super Smash Bros Ultimate. Head of Xbox, Phil Spencer, has on numerous occasions made overtures with Nintendo. However, no Nintendo games have yet shown up on an Xbox console.
