Halo 2 Anniversary headed to PC Game Pass & Steam next week
All of you PC Spartans out there can rejoice! Halo 2 Anniversary is finally headed to Xbox Game Pass on PC as well as Steam. It will, of course, be available on the Microsoft store as well for those of you who prefer to purchase your games that way (all two of you).
The legendary shooter will take its place within the PC version of The Master Chief Collection. This means that the collection will now include Halo Reach, Halo Anniversary and Halo 2 Anniversary. You will still be waiting on Halo 3, Halo 3 ODST and Halo 4 to join The Master Chief Collection – no release dates have been announced for those titles yet.
As usual for the games in this collection, the PC version of Halo Anniversary 2 will be able to support 4K UHD visuals and you will be able to crank that frame rate up to 60fps (or more!). There will also be support for ultra-wide monitors, customizable mouse and keyboards, and the ability to tweak your field of view.
Earth will never be the same.

If you subscribe to Xbox Game Pass for PC then you will be able to play Halo Anniversary 2 as soon as it becomes available on May 12th. If you would rather purchase the game then you can buy The Master Chief Collection on Steam or from the Microsoft store for $39.99 USD. There may be an option to purchase Halo Anniversary 2 by itself for $9.99 USD but that has not been confirmed at the time of this writing.
All of you Halo fans out there should check back with the Lords of Gaming throughout the summer. Microsoft has teased multiple events leading up the launch of the Xbox Series X in November and there will undoubtedly be a deep look at Halo Infinite.
