The Game Awards 2020: Every Nominee and Winner
As an endcap to an incredible year for video games, Geoff Keighley’s annual Game Awards show is ready to premiere Thursday, Dec. 10. Whether you will be watching the live stream on YouTube or Twitch, The Game Awards will dominate conversations between gamers. Among the announced winners, the live stream will also feature exciting world premieres for upcoming titles. With 2021 being an anticipated year for PS5/Xbox Series X|S games, this year’s award show is not one to miss. However, the show is not all about the reveals. Rather, it is a rousing moment of recognition for the best games 2020 had to offer.
Animal Crossing: New Horizons released just as a global pandemic hit, giving many a much-needed escapism. The Last of Us Part II stunned and amazed many, and is Naughty Dog’s most ambitious game yet. Final Fantasy VII Remake, a project long-awaited, shaped its incredibly-beloved original into a modern wonder. And those games are just the tip of the iceberg. Stay tuned to LordsofGaming.net for live updates on the Game Awards 2020.
The 2020 Game Awards kicks off its preshow at 6:30 p.m. EST with the main show beginning at 7 p.m. Below, you will see the official Game Awards 2020 categories and nominees. Winners will be highlighted in bold as they are announced throughout the show.
