Today, indie publisher Devolver Digital held its summer games showcase. With it comes a brand new look at gameplay for Wizard With A Gun. In addition to a handful of other indie game announcements. Of course, as usual, Devolver hit a home run with its industry satire. Watch the entire presentation below.
Wizard With A Gun
Among the first announcements we have new gameplay for A Wizard With A Gun. Devolver describes the game as “an online cooperative sandbox survival game set in a magical wilderness wrought with dangerous creatures and arcane mysteries. Embark on a journey alone or with friends to collect, craft, and outfit your wizard however you see fit as you explore the unknown.”
The top-down isometric shooter will be out later this year on Switch and PC. If that is not soon enough for you, Devolver has posted a demo over on the game’s Steam page, which we have linked here.
Bleak Sword DX
“Discover and destroy increasingly horrifying creatures across an oppressive lo-fi world, wielding fierce weaponry and powerful magic in this pocket-sized action adventure.” Bleak Sword DX dropped today on Steam and the Nintendo eShop for $9.99. It is a reworked re-release of the 2019 cult indie iOS hit Bleak Sword. The simple Souls-like should fit perfectly with the Nintendo Switch and Steam Deck. Of course, you can check it out right now.
From the creators of Ape Out, comes a comedic adventure game where you control Nate, one foot at a time. Baby Steps fairly classifies itself as a walking simulator but the trailer shows adventure as well as narrative elements. Nate appears to be an unlikeable hero, let’s wait and see how this one looks when it releases in 2024.
