Warframe: Afentis Prime Build and Review

Back when it was released in 2022 with Veilbreaker, I was not a big fan of the Afentis. Spearguns had undergone a slight rework at that time, sure. But when it came down to brass tacks, the speargun was only really useful for its unique ability when you throw it. Now that it has come out with a prime version with Styanax Prime, it’s gotten a new lease on life. It is basically just “Afentis, but better,” but it may be very well worth adding to your arsenal in Warframe. Below will be our recommended build for it!

Recommended Build for Afentis Prime

Below will be the build I landed on for the Afentis Prime, which only needs 1 forma for:

This is going to be the standard critical-focused approach. But with the usual damage enhancement mods thrown in, alongside Semi-Rifle Cannonade to keep Critical Delay from knocking down the fire rate, and Radiated Reload to increase the damage output and reload speed, alongside Magnetic Capacity to increase the magazine size and add more damage. Wrap all this up in a little bow with Primary Merciless, and you will have a great Steel Path tested build for it!

Updated Review for Afentis Prime in Warframe

Back in 2022, when it launched, the original Afentis was just “ok”. Obviously, the updated stats and mods available to us make the Prime better. But it’s because of that this new version feels so much better to use in endgame content. Its passive ability of throwing it on the ground and offering a unique buff to people standing and shooting in it is honestly more useful during boss fights these days. While I wish there were a way to modify that. It still stands as a really good choice in endgame content. You should absolutely farm (or trade) for it in Warframe!
